Every class gives them the freedom to play, create, and grow through a shared musical experience.
PLAY
Every child has their own real drum kit and the freedom to make music throughout the entire 45-minute class. Yep…real music from artists and genres they know and love; from pop favorites to Christian hits.
CREATE
Kids learn the fundamentals through hands-on instruction, then immediately put those skills into practice. They’ll learn rhythms, techniques, and musical concepts while playing, exploring, and creating.
Learn → play → apply → experiment → build confidence → learn more!
Every session is intentionally guided, giving kids the structure they need to build real skills while leaving room to discover what they’re capable of.
GROW
Different experience levels, one shared musical experience. Kids play together, contribute in their own way, and experience the energy of making music with others.
Along the way, they build confidence, learn to listen and collaborate, and discover what it feels like to be part of something bigger than themselves.
Why I created the Music place
I started teaching music when I was 16 and I’ve watched hundreds of kids walk through my doors.
I saw kids light up when they discovered they could actually make music. I also saw how easily that excitement could turn into frustration when learning became more about keeping up, practicing perfectly, or following a specific path.
So I started asking a different question:
What if kids could experience the feeling of being a musician from the very beginning?
And that’s when The Music Place was born…a music experience where kids can learn real skills, make real music, and grow in confidence along the way.
